I worked for Home Depot (EXPO Design Center) and they used office supplies from Office DEPOT. Now, my current employer, FedEx gets office supplies from Corporate EXPRESS, coincidence? or…?

My family is in a tight situation and I am trying to decide which would be the better place to go on a *very* small budget for school supplies. It would be very basic, just binders, paper, pencils, dividers and what not. I am trying to avoid walmart because in my town they run out of things by the time you buy for a high schooler cause all the little kids already bought everything. I know that staples has a good selection this time of year, but im just worried about spending too much

Precious S asked: I am looking for anyone who may carry the oxford form no. 1837 ledger cards. They are on yellow heavy stock and measure 5 wide by 9 long. They are double sided. I have been trying to locate them for about 2 years now. They are older and if anyone knows of someone or a place that carries older office supplies, I would appreciate it! Thanks for your time

ctown asked: I noticed some lady in our office has some kind of plastic film or cover over her monitor. It makes her monitor look black unless you are in direct line of sight. I want it because I don’t want people to look at my screen.
What’s it called exactly? Is it sold at your local office supply store or is it a special thing?

chasvanblom asked:
Where ( which local retailer) can I find a REASONABLY priced black ink cartridge (#45 - black) for my HP Deskjet printer?
I find it ridiculous to have to pay over $30.00 for a small 42 ml cartridge of black ink. I browse a few local electronics retailers (Best Buy / Circuit City / Radio Shack) and office supply stores (Office Depot / Office Max) to find no prices anywhere near reasonable.
Thanks for all suggestions.

Kingfish asked:
About a year and a half, after graduating college with a Business Administration degree, I went to work for a major office supply chain, and stayed there for nearly two years hoping that my degree would make my Store Manager and District Manager push me up the latter-Didn’t happen. In fact, they did the opposite, they passed me over everytime for kids with both a lesser education and people who did a lesser job than I. They even promoted a guy who really should have been fired, let alone promoted.
Can someone expain this to me?

There are some really nice scissors in the box. Is it ok to swap them with my crappy, gunked up scissors since those poor kids don’t know what good scissors are like anyway?
