can i use cork tiles (bulletin board grade) from the office supply store as floor/wall tiles?

I’ve seen them as wall covers in some places, I even think they did it on one of the house swap TV shows once, I don’t know about the floor, even cork will start to wear after a while.

I love the dark brown color. BUT NO not as FLOOR tiles.
You could, I suppose use sheets of clear plexi on top, but even the thought of all that effort is a reason not to attempt it.
Cork is a rare thing anymore, grown only naturally in two places on the planet…one being Madagascar. It’s like a tree bark, but more like a Fungus or Mold or mushroom that is, at one point, a Live plantlike substance. Best maybe analogized to natural Sponge.
It is not at all durable, even as a note board, and Glue and sealer might only compound the eventual problem of patch/replace.
I love the idea, but advise against it.

Used as wall tiles? Maybe. Used as floor tiles? Definitely NOT! Cork Tiles (Bulletin Board Grade) can easily warp and too soft to be used as floor tiles specially if the area is for heavy traffic. Cork Tiles has less density thus not recommended for both application.

On the wall Yes; On the floor NO; they chip (mine are chipping even on the wall where corners are.
If at all possible if you are wanting a bulletin board use a 4×8 sheet of blue foam board cut to whatever size needed. cover with material for your walls.

There are beautiful cork floors available today, but they are coated with multiple layers of UV-cured acrylic finish. These are strong enough for any flooring application; even the kitchen. The wall grade as many have said before me is not tough enough for the floor. It would be a mess.

You can use them for wall tiles but I would not use them for the floor. They are too soft and will break apart.

Cork tiles (bulletin board grade) are just that…for bulletin boards. It might be OK as light-duty wall tiles, but definitely not for floors. There are cork tiles engineered specifically for flooring, and they cost $3/sq ft more or less.
