I noticed some lady in our office has some kind of plastic film or cover over her monitor. It makes her monitor look black unless you are in direct line of sight. I want it because I don’t want people to look at my screen.

What’s it called exactly? Is it sold at your local office supply store or is it a special thing?

Having purchased a heavily discounted HP laptop at an office supply store, I didn’t notice that there were two white spots on the LCD display. One is more noticeable than the other. Can I fix this problem myself without returning the laptop? I didn’t buy the store’s warranty and am hoping to avoid them completely.

Mr Vinod Sahani is right. Both supplies are used to serve the same purpose. But when power off and on, the monitor does not start automatically. It works when the CPU is reset. Also we use LAN connection connected to this computer. One engineer says that it is due to the LAN connection. For the router supply, direct AC was used. When AC is off, LAN cuts. He says, if inverter supply is used for router, this problem does not occur. Now, i am using inverter supply to router. Also, what happens if we use direct AC supply to router. Any problem to router if the AC goes off and on suddenly. Really, is there any problem for any memory device because of sudden failure/over voltage?
