No, the office psychopath doesn’t think like that. The greatest fun for the office psychopath is the game. And the name of the game is, “last one standing’s the winner.” They love to kill off their opponents, one by one. THAT is the joy of the game to them. They don’t even necessarily want luck. The office psychopath is sadistic. They love the taste of blood. Yours!

Is there a question in here?

The office psychopath in my office is motivated by the desire to convert all of us to his religion and to show us that we’re all blasphemous heretics (He doesn’t care for my church and likes to tell me why all the time).

Is this paranoia, or do you have a suspect.
If you have a suspect are you in a position to remove this person from your environment.
If not are is there a way to gain that position in a reasonable amount of time or is it better to remove yourself from that environment.
If the projects screening processes have failed and you are in no position to remove the person from a their position and you cannot or will not remove yourself from the environment, then your only other options is to deal with that person.
Either (A) remove them from positions of authority
to do so effectively would be to remove as much power from then as you are able. If you could reveal to others this persons defects then you may be able to discredit them, but keep in mind you are likely to make an enemy or two during the pursuit of this goal.
Or (B) find a way to utilize some of the strengths of this type of personality. Like self reliance and perseverance in the face of long odds, while at the same time taking steps to suppress the draw backs of this type of person.

Why are you so obsessed with office psychopaths?

If your car has a manual gearbox then, should it ever suffer from a flat battery, you can get a push start. Once the vehicle has gained sufficient momentum, the engine can be made to leap into life. Or you can temporarily borrow the power in another battery. Why the lecture on mechanical breakdown procedure? Well, you now feel as if all the energy has ebbed away from a key plan or project in your world. You no longer have the enthusiasm that you once felt for a situation or an arrangement or a person. You suspect things won’t ‘go anywhere’ any more. Not so. The issue in question is about to be given a new lease of life
