I proposed a girl before who was working in my team at my office. She said no and she told me that she just want to be my friend. She is still in my team and she is a good friend of mine. Even if we are good friends now, I can’t behave openly with her. May be because I still remember what happened in the past. How to get rid of the past and be open and free while working in my office? Any suggestions? Thank You.

How do you handle a “flirty” office supply representative at work?

I am a receptionist for a small office (past 8 months). The office supply rep comes in once a week to check our supplies to place an order. He is a nice guy in his mid-40’s, and I’ve exchanged general conversation with him but the past several weeks he has made me quite uncomfortable - if he gets near me, within “reaching” distance, he either touches my shoulder or arm. Now I am not a young thing (I’m a 53 year old and am told I do look “good” for my age : I am also very married.) Help me, though, I don’t want to create a problem at work, b/c this guy is good friends with everyone here. My bosses don’t do the “touchy” thing - and this guy doesn’t have my permission to “get in my 18 inches” - suggestions???
