As you have been told they are no longer selling XP, it is now only available pre installed on low spec laptops and net books. Even Windows Vista is now starting to look old with forecast of Windows 7 arriving around Christmas. I would check to see if your computer is powerful enough and jump straight to Windows 7. It looks like the best version ever. The XP is not an update it’s a different O/S.
