Usually your degree doesn't carry much weight after you start the job, it only helps you get the job, and helps you perform the job. Getting your MBA will promote you faster and get better pay but after that the MBA isn't regarded as much just like the college degree.

Sometimes people are promoted based on their personal skills, such as if their outgoing or such. If you feel like you are not being appreciated or rewarded at your job it might be time to consider finding another position.

It would be worthwhile to look over their qualifications, your qualifications and what qualifications the company expects from their employees. So while you may be doing a good job, it may not be in the specific areas that management is looking for. If your qualities are in line with what management seeks, ask for some feedback or for extra projects to show more initiative.

I hope that helps.

I find that hard to believe. When you apply for a promotional opportunity, you go to an interview with a manager. And there, a manager will look over not just your education but also your work history.

There are a LOT of retail managers who don't have a college degree but they're damn good managers.

College is overrated in case you haven't already figured that out. Chances are a plumber makes more than you.

I don't know if this is the case in your situation, but it seems to me that someone with higher education is more likely to move on to bigger and better things- because you can. Maybe they are afraid of investing in you when you may decide to leave at any time.

People often think they are more deserving than others but that doesn't always reflect reality.
