HIZEN5 TAKEO Porcelain Glass Pen – Large Elephant Trunk

HIZEN5 TAKEO Porcelain Glass Pen Large Elephant Trunk is a premium Japanese handcrafted porcelain glass pen, decorated using the traditional Zogan inlay technique, where patterns are carved into the clay body and filled with contrasting clay or glaze. This labor-intensive process brings the design forward with subtle relief, giving the surface both visual depth and a grounded, sculptural presence.

About Takeo Ware: Often described as Edo-era modernism, Takeo ware is a rare ceramic tradition from Takeo, located in the Saga prefecture of Japan that embraces both pottery and porcelain. Drawing from techniques such as iron painting, green glaze, brush marks, and textured surfacesexpressing a distinctly individual ceramic philosophy rooted in experimentation and material honesty.

Note: Each pen is finished by hand, resulting in slight variations that reflect the artisans touch rather than mechanical repetition, making each piece unique.
